Questions & Answers

Everything you need to know about our personal alarms. Can't find your answer? Call us on 01296 320013.

How does a personal alarm work?
You wear a small pendant on your wrist or around your neck, or carry the mobile alarm with you. In an emergency you simply press the button. This connects you to our designated monitoring centre (or, for the mobile alarm, to family members), where trained operators speak with you through the device and arrange the appropriate help.
What is the difference between the Lifeline Digital and the Mobile SOS alarm?
The Lifeline Digital Home Alarm is designed for use at home, with a base unit and pendant connected to our 24/7 monitoring centre. The Mobile SOS Alarm is a lightweight device you carry with you for protection both at home and out and about, with GPS location and the option of family or professional monitoring. You can compare them side by side on our Products & Pricing page.
How much does it cost?
Each alarm has a one-off cost for the equipment and set-up, plus an ongoing service charge for monitoring and support, billed quarterly (every three months). Current prices are shown on our Products & Pricing page. If you'd like help choosing, just give us a call.
Is the monitoring centre available 24 hours a day?
Yes. Our designated monitoring centre operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so help is always available, day or night, weekends and holidays included.
Does the alarm work if I fall and can't press the button?
Both systems offer optional fall detection, which can automatically raise an alert if a fall is detected, even if you're unable to press the button yourself. Let us know when you order and we'll make sure it's set up for you.
Does the Mobile SOS alarm work when I'm out of the house?
Yes. The Mobile SOS Alarm is designed to keep you protected wherever you are. It includes GPS location and two-way voice communication, so help can find you whether you're at home, in the garden, or out and about.
Who can I nominate to be contacted in an emergency?
You can nominate family members, friends, neighbours or carers as your emergency contacts. Our operators will follow your preferences and, where needed, arrange for the emergency services to attend.
How do I pay?
You can order and pay securely online through Stripe, a trusted global payment provider, directly from our Products & Pricing page. You'll pay the one-off equipment cost and set up your quarterly service charge. Prefer to speak to someone? Call us on 01296 320013.
Is the equipment difficult to set up?
Not at all. The equipment is simple, reliable and tested, and arrives ready to use. We provide professional set-up advice and ongoing local support, so you're never left to work it out on your own.
Who are these alarms suitable for?
Our alarms are ideal for older people living independently, people with long-term health conditions, and anyone who wants extra reassurance at home or when out and about, as well as the families who care about them.
